This is especially true if you can show that your class will have a positive impact on your current work. Be sure to check with you HR department prior to signing up for a class to ensure it will be covered.
Business degrees are considered one of the most flexible degrees available. They can be specialized to cover accounting, management, technology, human resources and more. Because of this, employees are likely to find a wide range of opportunities once they have completed their degree.

While I agree that for the general public, having a degree can be a serious booster for job possibilities they are becoming an increasingly common commodity and therefore devalued all while costs are inflating at record paces.
What are your thoughts on people really pushing a personal brand through engagement online and interacting with what they are passionate about? Gary V.’s book Crush It! opened my eyes to how even the long tail should be able to make a mid to lower 5 digit annual income by actively cranking out relavant content on categories they are truly passionate about.

What we should do is boycott any company that benefits from enormous tax cuts with the understanding that they will produce jobs for people that live in the area where the company is located. Unfortunately, that’s not happening. I understand that a business can’t survive if it is not profitable, but this is ridiculous. We shouln’t allow these corporations to devalue our education in such a way. Imagine working hard and making many sacrifices to get a degree and that have some person who is probably less competent, less intelligent doing the interviewing and having unrealistic expectations. If you are fresh out of college, you need experience, but no one is willing to give you the experience. Some peole fall under the too much experience; they don’t get hired beacause they are too expensive. You can’t win.
